Kayak Instructor Certification

Take the next step in your paddling journey and become a certified instructor through the American Canoe Association (ACA). The Kayak Instructor Certification Course prepares experienced paddlers to confidently teach kayaking skills, lead classes, and promote safe paddling practices.

This course focuses on both technical paddling skills and effective teaching methods, giving participants the knowledge and experience needed to instruct others on the water.

Certification Process

Participants will complete both an Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) and an Instructor Certification Exam (ICE) as part of the program. Successful candidates will earn American Canoe Association Kayak Instructor Certification, allowing them to teach ACA curriculum and courses.
